Melody Orellana-Troha
There was a moment, when I didn't know what I wanted to do and all it took was my mother telling me that she always thought I'd go into film. It was all the encouragement I needed to pursue my dreams. Her belief in me is what set everything in motion and it’s something I carry with me in every project I take on.

Today, I’m an Emmy Award–winning producer who has produced branded campaigns, impact videos, documentaries, and docu-series that put people first. My work includes Emmy–winning 'Decode Colorado: With My Own Eyes', 'I Am More Than' on PBS12, and 'Mystery Science Theater 3000'. Leading projects from concept through final delivery, I manage budgets ranging from $10K–$500K while serving as the primary point of contact for clients and directing cross-functional teams. From shaping narratives and overseeing production logistics to directing talent on set and supervising post, I ensure each project lands with clarity, purpose, and impact. I’m comfortable navigating timelines and feedback cycles, but what I value most is building trust and telling stories that truly connect.

Whether I’m developing a brand story or producing a narrative rooted in community, I bring the same focus: elevate voices, foster connection, and create work that leaves a lasting impact. I strongly believe everything I do, how I do it and the attitude I have while doing it, is a representation of who I am and the legacy I'm trying to create. A legacy that I hope will make my children proud.
